God, what a film. A raw, emotional journey through the divorce of our leads, Charlie and Nicole. Across the board great performances, Laura Dern being my personal fav, she is WONDERFUL in her role. Her introduction being a line ending with "she saved my life", then a hard cut to a shot of Her, fantastic, incredible, very fitting introduction for Laura Dern.

It's kinda ridiculous how good this film is. The screenplay, the score, the acting, the camera work, the directing, the editing, everything, it all just works SO well and makes, what honestly could have been a really boring, generic biopic/true story movie, into one of the best films of the decade.

Hmmmm wow okay. Firstly, want to say this film is beautiful, the cinematography is fantastic, the set design for the house is great, but god the world outside the house is so gorgeous, just stunning. The heavy red lighting during the power outages, and the iconic dance sequence, is so good, I'm a sucker for some good red lighting.
