Its been a long 2 years after,' Man of Steel' my favourite incarnation of Superman, ever!
Now we have, 'Batman V Superman; Dawn of Justice.'
My verdict and thoughts on it.
So straight off the bat, (see what I did there?) this is predominantly a Batman movie with Superman as a special starring guest.
We get more Bat screen time. more insight into the driving force of Bruce Wayne/Batman, and more character development as well.
Superman makes his queued appearances and does the business, but there is never any real in depth exploring of his character or Kent's for that matter. in fact Clark Kent has about 5 minutes screen time in the entire movie, and although he shares a nice tender moment with Lois, he definitely deserves more consideration than that.
Well that said and done, lets move on.
Batman.
When I heard that Ben Affleck was putting on the cape, I screamed, 'Holy Bat Poop, NO!'
I'm not saying I don't like B.A. in fact I have seen and liked most of his films, including, Dare Devil. I just didn't think he could pull it off.
So what do I think of his portrayal of our favourite caped crusader? 'Holy Bat crap, Yes!'
He's dark, he's brooding, He's sinister, he's scary. He has anger management issues and he's freaking awesome. in fact, he is for me, the best Batman so far. WOW!
Superman.
He's clean cut, square jawed, fluffy and light, sombre and fighting inner demons about how he fits in in this world.
Henry Cavill is the supremely best Superman ever. KAPPOWWW.
Wonder Woman.
A Kickass super hot Heroine, absolutely amazing. Gal Gadot rocks.
Lex Luthor.
A quirky, zany, psychotic schizo bad guy. Jessie Eisenberg is ludicrously Jokerishly mad.
With glimpses of The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg, Man, I cannot wait for the full blown Justice league to be unleashed on the big screen.
Round-up.
An action packed thrill ride that left me wanting more.
