It's just so... sad.
I thought I was going to have to stop the movie 30 seconds in, because it was way too show-tunesy for my comfort level. I stuck it out, and in 30 minutes decided I liked it. At the end of the movie, I was almost in tears. It hit me right in the feels and now I have to buy it so I can watch it again and again and again (but maybe I'll fast forward through the singing highway scene).
"It's not a ghost story. It's a story with ghosts in it. The ghosts are a metaphor for the past."
For those who argue that Crimson Peak isn't a horror movie, it sure has some elements of horror in it. Just because it doesn't scare like the Insidious movies do doesn't mean Crimson Peak isn't horror. This is more like a gothic horror story and I loved it.

This was as awesome as I thought it would be. Long, but awesome.
