"Bodies Bodies Bodies features the most spectacular final reveal I’ve seen in ages. It recolors the previous 85 minutes in an entirely new light, one that made me want to go back to the beginning and take a new look right then and there. The inspired deviousness of it all filled my heart with glee, and for anyone currently bored at home and looking for something to do, heading to the theater to discover what all the fuss is about may just be the hysterically gory wakeup call they were looking for."

Prey 2022
"Trachtenberg has delivered a Predator adventure we’ve been waiting almost four decades to experience. His take on the character and its evolving mythology is ambitious, authentic, and most of all clever. He has delivered an action-horror masterwork that deserves the big-screen treatment. And while I’m happy people will get the opportunity to experience the film in the safety of their homes, not giving it at least a minimal theatrical exhibition as well is a befuddling shame."

Bullet Train 2022
"Most of the jokes are insufferable. The balance between comedy, drama, and action is out of whack. Straight Outta Compton 2015
"The genius of the film, a labor of love for all involved and a passion project for Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E’s wife Tomica Woods-Wright for over a decade, is that I don’t have to relate, I just have to understand. Gray, along with screenwriters Jonathan Herman and Andrea Berloff (World Trade Center), plop the viewer into the center of things, ask us to listen to what it is these masterful musicians and lyricists are saying, to stop focusing…

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story 2016
"But the main reason the film works as well as it does is that Edwards and his crew treat the material like they’re making a hard-hitting WWII epic in the vein of Battleground or Attack, only also one mixed with the likes of The Dirty Dozen, The Big Red One and Where Eagles Dare, a healthy dose of Platoon and The Thin Red Line thrown in for good measure. This is a gritty film, one where the stakes for these…
