Logan Thomson’s review published on Letterboxd:
Shaka King’s distinct direction paired with powerful performances and a top notch script make this bio-pic stand head and shoulders above its competitors. After a slow start, the film ramps up and delves into this complex real life story with a great sense of drama, intrigue, and surprising intensity. It’s easy to see a lot of people really poured their hearts and souls into this thing, and if you’re not feeling something by those last thirty minutes, I don’t know what to say.
Also, give me more LaKeith Stanfield in movies! Love that man.
