Logan Thomson’s review published on Letterboxd:
Looper is a perplexing watch. Really didn’t like the first thirty minutes, but once Bruce Willis shows up, it gets more interesting. Tons of cool directing, acting, and world building elevate a script that needs more polish.
I do, however, like the theme of violence and how it creates an endless cycle of violence. A lot of the film’s most powerful scenes come from this idea, and even if a lot of it didn’t work for me personally, I can see how it does for other people.
