Yesterday ★★★½

honestly pretty good. almost every plot device you expect at the outset to be tedious is resolved so quickly or in such an odd way that it doesnt get in the way of the core premise. it's pretty apparent that at least an hour of runtime was cut from the finished product, and i think that was the right choice. it leads to this kind of frenetic editing style and seemingly willful disinterest on the part of the filmmakers in their own story that i found kind of endearing
