A bad Wood Allen movie is like bad sex: still pretty damn good.

With that being said, this film was an average Woody Allen film.

What a pretentious pile of 3-D horse dung.

  • Mommy

    Mommy

    ★★★★★

Well it looks like it is officially time to start the race for the best film of 2015. Mommy is definitely the first contender I've come across year-to-date.

Not only is this the best film I've seen so far this year, this is the best Canandian film I've ever seen. Who knew the Canucks had it in em'?

I went into this film with pretty high expectations after hearing so much praise about the film from various people. Mommy not…

  • The Babadook

    ★★★★½

“I'll kill the monster when it comes...I'll smash its head in..."

Wow. Mr. Babadook has to be the most sinister and sadistic bedtime reading I've ever seen. My parents let me watch all sorts of horror flicks when I was a kid. I saw all the Friday the 13th's, Nightmare on Elm Streets' (which I found more humorous than scary), The Poltergeist, The Howling, The Omen, The Exorcist, Halloween, etc. I was a horror film junkie from the age of…

This film was quite good, however I must have had a bad copy of the film, as the audio was not working.

Oh well, at least I know how to read lips, so it worked out for me...

  • The Salvation

    The Salvation

    ★★★★

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I love me a good ole' Western and The Salvation definitely hit the spot for me. It's been a while since I've seen a solid western and so far this is the best one 2014 has to offer.

Mixing in a little bit of Danish flair definitely gave this film a bit of originality that ha been sorely lacking in westerns for the past decade. I'm a bit of a history buff, so even beginning with the opening scene…

  • What If

    What If

    ★★★

What if... we fast forward 5 years after Harry Potter graduated from Hogwarts and we find out he is now trapped in the land of the Muggles, and is now powerless himself (a muggle!)?

To make matters worse, poor Mr. Potter has recently been dumped, he's unemployed and has no real skill set that he can apply in this world of Muggles.

What is poor Harry to do?

Watch What If and find out!

What a perfect film to watch after a long stressful day!

This film is like a Zen/Buddist's rendition of Fantasia, with a more artistic and minimalist intepretation/twist.

Yes my mind wandered throughout the film and I got lost in it, but I think that is quite possibly the point of the film. The film is both hypnotic and mesmerizing.

I've never meditated once in my life, but I'm sure the peace and tranquility that you feel during that state feels something like I experienced while watching this film.

So simple, but yet so brilliant.

    Serenity now!!!!!!!
