Why am I not able to give this a sixth star?
Train to Busan is a solid Zombie action film. The film takes the rage zombie idea of 28 Days Later and throws it into a more hyperkinetic claustrophobic setting. The first act of the film is especially effective. It slowly builds up its protagonists and tension, hinting at what’s to come before suddenly letting the shit hit the fan.

Minari is further proof of why A24 is my favorite company currently in the film business. Minari is a wonderfully intimate and emotional film. Brilliant actors find deep human truths in a small scale story that never loses sight of what life is, a series of moments, some great and some terrible.

There are few young filmmakers who have nearly the same passion and energy that Spike Lee has more than three decades into his career. Like the filmmaker's other greats, Da 5 Bloods is messy, stuffed to the brim with ideas, and a tad unfocused.
