Extremely problematic messaging within some of the songs— but other than that, it really just seemed like this was made simply for the easter eggs. I wish this movie was either it’s own thing, or a cameo fest like Ralph Breaks the Internet. Sadly it falls somewhere in between, which… isn’t as great as being wholly one of the other two.
This one is pure nostalgia for me, my Grandma had it on VHS and I would watch it at her house as a child. It's been years since I've seen it, but I have seen it as an adult, and I think it holds up for what it is.
It has the feel of a TV movie from the 70s, but it's beautiful locales make up for the lack of sheen on the screen.
I love the story and it's message. It's overtly Christian and that's just fine with me! It has a classic feel to it, and leaves me with the warm fuzzies.
