A very British sort of movie with a couple who slowly murder their way across the county while on holiday.  The flashback to our protagonist’s earlier dog was not necessary, but it was a crazy way for a dog to die. I loved all the random murderers and the mini conversations between the couple afterwords.  The final scene is pretty great...not sure what she is planning on doing now.

    Eating Raoul

    ★★★★½

I had no idea what this movie was going to be and I loved this slapstick-ish murder comedy.  The idea of swingers being scum was funny, but I wonder if many people actually think that way for real. I kept waiting for the eating part of the title to happen and I thought it was going to be in the restaurant, but I was wrong.  This was a fun and funny movie.

While I liked parts of this movie especially the scarecrow sequence my overall impression was ho hum.  I liked weird floating body absorbing creature in the mental hospital.  This was a good premise with a person disappeared/transformed or otherwise gone everyday until all the people are gone.  I didn’t think the weird assembling/disassembling creature was scary or visualized well.

    Black Jack

    ★★★

While I liked seeing all the schemes and kinds of people our main character runs into (including Black Jack - French giant) this movie did not keep my attention.  At first I was wondering whether or not the girl was insane or not.  Later I was wondering what she was looking at or trying to get others to look at and then why violence?  The number of ugly wigs was astounding...how could the British ever think that was high fashion?
