THE SUICIDE SQUAD is an excellent film to watch in the theatre - full of surprises, heightened, ridiculous drama, and a test of the senses through an eclectic sound design. It improves on the original by a large margin. There wasn’t as much of an attempt at an origin story here, which I did enjoy about the original.

Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain

Very impressive, poignant and deeply engaging. Bourdain was a flawed individual with a love for others and his craft, but not himself. It's a film that will resonate with those that have suffered at any point in their lives. Human suffering is a given, but not all of us are privileged enough to deal with it, with love surrounding.

Despite a few, convoluted pacing issues, the film is a huge step up for the Safdie Brothers, creating a fully dynamic piece that never stops moving. It's an out of body experience in a way, as we follow Sandler from one hustle to the next, creating multiple storylines with characters that match together…
