Battle Royale 2000
The only part I liked about this movie is the concept. It’s pretty ridiculous how The Hunger Games completely copied it and I really can’t believe people just let that slide. It’s cool to see how this inspired other stuff like The Purge, Squid Game, etc. Despite the fact that at its time it was an original concept, it is still a really, really shitty movie.

Eyes Without a Face 1960
Patient, calculated, and at times incredibly unpredictable. The practical effects and cinematography were both great, but what really stood out was how influential the concept clearly was. To me it’s a slightly weaker The Face of Another, but it’s still very impressive. My favorite scene by far was the opening, mostly because of how much it went against my expectations.
