One of the great films of all time. There are people better suited to explaining the implications of the film to the baby boomers, but on a personal level it has always inspired me to remember that the world has plumbing and if you're interested enough in it, you can get your hands dirty and change it, even if it's just in small ways.

    The Adventures of Baron Munchausen

Simply put, this movie is the barometer by which I know whether or not to respect someone's opinion of movies.

    Panic Room

Not a perfect flick, but I remember the shot of the counter top and trash can to this day. Iwow good out as a use of CG that I remember blending seamlessly and contributing to the story in a distinctly subtle way. Also, if you think Kristin Stewart is a crappy actress, you're wrong and this movie is a primer into just how much of a natural she is.

    Speed Racer

An incredibly and tragically underrated movie. Still one of the better flicks about brotherly love in recent memory. The Wachowskis did an incredible job interpreting the ludicrous racing of the cartoon with impressionist's brushes and free-flowing joy.

    The City of Lost Children

A nearly perfect movie that is a must watch for any film lover. Jeunet and Caro at the height of their collaborative prowess. Firmly cemented my love for Ron Perlman.
