The third film in Frank Darabont’s Stephen King Trilogy. First film is considered by some to be the greatest film ever made, so obviously a straight up R rated horror film that has no qualms about exploring some dark territory isn’t going to be considered in the same league. By some anyways…
The Shawshank Redemption is about not losing hope. The Mist is about the consequences of losing hope. Or it just stomps on it.
