Alex Zamm, the visionary who brought us classics such as Inspector Gadget 2, Jingle all the Way 2, Tooth Fairy 2, and The Pooch and the Pauper, has given us his take on Woody Woodpecker.
Almost as much of a bastardization as Space Jam. It bears no resemblance to the original cartoon, it's not set in the same world nor has any of the characters or even any references to them.
Instead, they took Woody Woodpecker and gave him the personality of Deadpool, then transposed him into the script of a sassy animal movie of the 90s.
There's nothing else of note, and it goes in all the directions you would expect it to. The self absorbed workaholic dad learns to be a better parent. The greasy bad guys get pooped on. The animal gives the dad a hard time but they become friends. The only thing of note is that Woody's essentially a homicidal maniac. A lot of the pranks would probably put most of the victims in the hospital or more likely in graves. So that was kind of funny.
