Old

Old ★★★

After Glass, M. Night must have known he needed to redeem himself and this movie does that for the most part. Old isn’t as twisty as some of the director’s previous efforts but it proves to be thoroughly engaging and pretty tense. There’s clever cinematography, gorgeous scenery and solid performances from some veteran character actors and recent festival darlings. If you’re a fan of the director’s other films or you’re in the mood for something suspenseful, this one is definitely worth checking out.

I also feel it’s important to mention that this is also probably the best cameo role that Mr. Shyamalan has given himself to date.
