Liam Ball’s review published on Letterboxd:
Not as great as I was expecting, though it's not for the same reason other people didn't like it. (Alien knock-offs are absolutely my kinda thing.) The problem is structural. I admired it for not fucking around at first, but after a certain point, I began to wish it had fucked around. Fucking around is important because it adds dynamics to the mayhem. Underwater has only mayhem, and too much mayhem becomes monotonous very quickly. Can't deny it is well-crafted though; maybe I'm just antsy because I'm stuck in the house.
