The music is awesome and the vocals are impecable, but that is as far as I can go with this. I knew of Rent and the story behind it but I have never been on board the Musical Theater train, so I didn’t feel either way by watching this.
However, I do have one thing to say, it doesn’t reflect my opinion on the entire movie but it does reflect the type of bitter human that I am. Here it is:
If anybody broke into an impromptu “a capella” musical number during a party for no apparent reason I would stand up, get my coat, look at everyone straight in the eye for an uncomfortable amount of time, walk out the door, and never speak to any of them ever again…
