Now, don't get me wrong, it's a good movie, well directed and acted for sure, it even manages to evoke a 'Call Me By Your Name' mood and vibe at times. Still, it's just another existential crisis road trip with all the hurtful past, roaming, searching, confronting your parents, your heritage, figuring out your identy etc., it's all that paired with a protean, multifariously interpretable cannibal gimmick, which doesn't deliver much more beyond that point. It' a very good, sensitive kind of run-of-the-mill, it's just a tad too long and I'd expect a little bit more.

No, really: this feels like a 155-minute-collage of ideas and images of an ambitious ‘Dune’-project, which visualizes and touches upon a lot of topics covered by the books, but also decisively refuses to actually go deeper on… anything! Almost every aspect seems to fall short: the story, the characters, their motivations (does anyone in all honesty ‘feel’…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Wow. That one right here, that was a wreck. A wreck for which we waited a long, long time. A wreck nevertheless. Be warned: massive spoilers ahead.

But where to start, where to start. Let’s begin with a confession: I actually liked the trailer! After a prolonged period of postponing, it was a delight to finally receive proof of life of Daniel Craig’s much-anticipated last installment in the James Bond-series. Even better: the trailer looked reasonably promising, showcasing some illustrious…
