- First comment is obviously about how the film is a very touching portrayal of friendship and Cookie and Lu's cooperation. Two desperate people working together to make what they can in a harsh world. The ending's ambiguity is great.

- Goddamn the palette and cinematography of in this are beautiful. The shots and portrayal of the vast emptiness of the West Texas desert are something. The film also conveys a feeling of surreal quality to the desert, almost as if it's an alien land…
