Thunder Force

Thunder Force ★★★

When this movie was released, it got demonized by everyone on this platform and the critics, but some rogue individuals gave it the same score I'm giving it, so either I have a God awful taste in movies, or I am extremely tolerant of Ben Falcone's movies. I’ve only seen “The Boss” and I had a nice time with it.

It's easy to see why people would hate this. The fat jokes were lame, the slapstick humor was dumb and made me frown, and some of the dialogue was downright cringeworthy. However, the premise was intriguing enough for me to stay interested throughout. I never knew Kathleen Kennedy was an actress, and her delivery and facial reactions were excellent. Krusty Bateman was amazing and the restaurant joke was brilliant to the point I had to jump next and watch Eli Roth’s “Cannibal Holocaust” remake. While movies around her aren't on the same level of Spencer's talent, she always delivers. Poor Andrew, no one talks about him, even though he deserves my absolute love. And Melissa was OK.

All in all, while the movie has its issues, and it might not be everyone's cup of tea, if for some reason you're enjoying Ben-Melissa's collaboration, then you may enjoy this as well.
