It's a little strange to see Matt Johnson applying his simple stakes / zero frills director aesthetic to a fact based drama with Hollywood stars, but it almost works. Howerton is particularly good, and it's always great to see Martin Donovan. In fact, I was fully invested for about half the movie, or all the scenes that didn't involve Matt Johnson's acting.
