Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country ★★★★★

A brilliant murder mystery and a great send-off to the crew here, this is one for the ages. It’s essential Star Trek, and just an essential sci-fi film. The performances are all terrific. The script is intelligent as it keeps you guessing throughout. The conclusion of this crew is overwhelmingly heartfelt, it’s impossible to overstate how much Nicholas Meyer did right by the crew as well as for the Star Trek brand in general. After a whiff that was The Final Frontier, this is the return to form and even rises above the occasion to deliver a thoughtful, highly entertaining Star Trek film, especially for the one that concludes the crew’s journey that began on September 8, 1966.
This is an incredible film in general.
