Mtume’s review published on Letterboxd:
I honestly don’t remember when is the last time I saw this, but I know I’ve seen it more than a dozen times now and frankly while I get all the layered interpretations of Persona (some of them I quite enjoy to look at) the film has always worked best for me when I’ve thought about it as close to what the story of the film is giving us. It’s a film that we can have a tendency to over interpret and thus actually look past what’s quite plainly there about it. 2 women in this dance of intrigue with each other. Power dynamics that exist between them both and a familiar Bergman theme of how one can put an imprint on the other as time passes.
Bibi Andersson...was she ever a magnetic woman to witness on screen. Wowsers.
