Short Cuts

Short Cuts ★★★★★

It’s jazz. Like it’s soundtrack. A film of riffs. Pieces. Diversions. Movements. Rises and falls. All of it. I know many are mixed on it but I find it’s scope so grand and of itself that Altman achieves everything he needs to with it. It’s like Coltrane in the late period, just looks to be free with a slight familiarity of what we know. Doesn’t wanna define to much but also wants give you little hits here and there to play with your innards. A truly great work by one of American cinemas greats.
