    Night of the Living Dead

    ★★★★½

    You know - other than the zombie swinging a brick in the beginning, this is still a really good film. I absolutely loved this as a kid, and I got to watch it with my son and see him enjoy it as well.

    The original will always have a special place in cinema history, but this is the better version...even if the MPAA gutted them for the SFX makeup gore to get the R rating.

    Mandatory October watching material.

    Stays with you after the credits roll.

    I wanted it to be something else, and then it turned into another thing...which was fine, just not what I expected. I guess that's a good thing.

    A+ atmospheric film with lots of good sound, and lighting for something that takes place mostly in one location.

    Glad to see more films like this overtaking the "jump scare" horror movies.
