Michael Tuthill’s review published on Letterboxd:
Slightly disjointed narrative, but honestly, a great character study delving into themes of how people cling so hard to faith when surrounded by hypocrites and assholes. The movie had a very "There will be Blood" appeal, but with less of a central figure for us to follow. Tom Holland was essentially the main character, but felt like he was only in half the film. Thought the narration was hokey at first, but appreciated it more given the author lent his voice to the film...overall, very striking and moody production value. The film stock they used really added a lot to this. Probably, one of the better films of 2020.
