Precious, nostalgic, decadent, Tarantino's first "flaccid-dick" movie (to use his term) coasts down memory lane and terminates in the creative dead end of another alternate history. The good guys are cherished--and as invulnerable as Marvel heroes--and the bad guys are exterminatable vermin. "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood" inverts the adrenaline-shot-to-the-heart catharsis of "Inglourious Basterds": Power eradicates the infesting other.
