Filmes dirigidos por mulheres que competiram pela Palma de Ouro no Festival de Cannes

A edição 2018 do Festival de Cannes ficou marcada pelo protesto liderado por Agnès Varda e Cate Blanchett, no qual 82 mulheres se posicionaram nos degraus que levam ao Théâtre Debussy para representar os 82 filmes de diretoras que competiram pela Palma de Ouro em toda a história do festival.

Em comparação, desde a primeira edição de Cannes, em 1946, 1.688 filmes de diretores homens foram selecionados para a competição principal.
