Not a lot happens in After.Life to be fair and the main crux of the film relies on the 'is she/isn't she dead?' question, which should build up tension but there is little of it. I found it unintentionally humorous, especially the child actor whose character appears randomly from scene to scene. It is a good idea spoiled by nonsensical choices and reactions to situations that are made purely for the ludicrous plot. It does not make sense, it does not come to any satisfactory conclusion, Christina Ricci spends half of it naked or in a slip (whilst doing some high pitched meeping) and Justin Long slowly gets drunk. I found it strangely watchable.
This is the lovechild of The Sixth Sense and I Know Who Killed Me.
