31 Days of Horror: Day 27

This is an interesting movie. Made in 1997, but looks and feels like it was made in the 70's. The movie has a timeless look to it. It's very haunting and beautiful. I feel like some of the dialogue gets lost in translation. My only real complaint is that towards the ending it was dragging a little. Not a movie for everyone. The majority is just the two vampires walking around from place to place. But you can't look away. It's almost hypnotic.

    Day 27 - A vampire film.

I've never heard of this one until I was poking around, looking for interesting options. I feel like I should've run into this one on cable somewhere along the way. This is an odd movie. This might've come out in 1990, but it has a very 80's, L.A. vibe to it. All that was missing was someone having a neon sign in their bedroom. This movie has a weird tone…

This movie had been on my radar for a while. This is the director's first film, so I can cut it a little slack on some things. Overall I do think the movie is good. I think the acting is solid. It's pretty creepy at times. But I think it takes a little too long to get going and I think the ending feels a little too rushed, but it was a solid watch. I look forward to the director's next movie.
