The hillbilly Ocean's Eleven (I mean this is the most positive way possible). The actors are delightful (especially Daniel Craig) and the story is wonderfully twisty.
One complaint: Katherine Waterston could have been given more to do.
In so many blockbusters today (even the good ones), the stakes are so obscenely high that it's almost impossible to care about them at times. Once you've seen a new city get obliterated every Friday, they all start to blur together. Ant-Man, on the other hand, eschews the city destroying action climaxes of other films and it actually comes off as refreshing. Add in a great and charismatic performance from Paul Rudd, and you've got an entertaining as Hell movie.
P.S. Hating this movie because it's not directed by Edgar Wright is unfair and idiotic.
