  • Late Night

    Late Night

It's very light fare in some senses. though it does take a few jabs at what it is like to be a woman in the industry. Emma Thomson deserves really meaty leading roles - she is watchable in whatever she is in.

  • Between Two Ferns: The Movie

    Between Two Ferns: The Movie

It was stupid and funny, and as I heard the plot described - an extremely thin premise for a movie, that kind of works.

  • Bumblebee

A Transformers live action movie that I like? Subtract Michael Bay from the mix and it worked for me. I liked the Cybertron moments and would love to see a movie with more of that, and less humans.

  • Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami

    Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami

It was a bit of a scattered approach to capturing the idea of who Grace Jones and what she represents, but after getting into the groove, you wonder if anything else would have worked to capture the energy and the barely restrained chaos.

  • Hello, Privilege. It's Me, Chelsea

    Hello, Privilege. It's Me, Chelsea

I have to admit I was kind of wondering what the point was. It seemed like Chelsea was using it to be funny, and there was some of that, but then, when she got out of the way and let others speak, it made more sense as a film, and I got more out of it.

  • Ramona and Beezus

    Ramona and Beezus

    Sweet movie. Touching ending.

  • Girls Trip

    Girls Trip

I went on a bit of a rollercoaster with this one. I liked it, then didn't, and by the end, I really liked the characters.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

I don't know that I needed to hear the call to the police, but it is a documentary - though that was the one part where this felt a little exploitative.

  • Wu: The Story of the Wu-Tang Clan

Wu: The Story of the Wu-Tang Clan

Wu Tang Forever. The section on ODB had me choked up.

  • Justice League

    Justice League

I didn't hate this movie. It was much better than I thought it was going to be.

  • Moana

    Great fun! Pretty dark
