"It's better if parents don't interfere with all the things you have in your head." I watched this, start and stop, over two days. When I wasn't watching it - walking the dogs, watching cable news (teenagers marching on Washington and everywhere), arguing with the guy I live with, tweeting - the melodrama of "real life" came to the surface. The angst. The absurdity, pointlessness. The awesome potential of being awake, being able to speak a language and read. The inner lives of my dogs. What cinema is capable of. Life is important, y'all!
