ron was not a good person and he never changed. his homophobia was at its height in the beginning of the film, especially during the scene he finds out he has HIV. just like everyone else who has got infected, ron got scared and quickly lost his ‘old life’ and ‘friends’ who instead of offering any part of support or care simply disrespected ron.

jesus christ this was such a heartbreaking film
jodie comer and stephen graham were fucking phenomenal in portraying such emotional tormented characters that are pushed far past their limits - it was real and it was brutal those weren’t just made up characters, every health worker experienced this over the past year
when the pandemic first hit i knew about the struggle and constant pressure put on health workers and hospitals but god this was a real eye opener especially…
