I actually feel like this was held back by being a sequel to The Shining. There were a lot of things I really enjoyed about this but whenever it would callback or expand upon anything in The Shining it would either feel unnecessary or too referent. It’s a weird film because it’s not that bad but it does not benefit from association with one of the best horror movies ever made.
Real bold move of them to give the two lead…
