Midsommar ★★★★½

Goddamn, this might've been even better on second watch. Hands down one of the most deeply personal films I have ever seen, horror or otherwise. It radiates such a painful and gutteral cry of emotional trauma, one that takes a firm hold of the audience and drags them along through the sadness, the anguish, and the beauty of it all. I'm a huge fan of transportive sensory experiences like this; each watch so far has left me stumbling out of the theater, forgetting which reality i'm currently living in.

I don't have much to say that I didn't already cover in my original review, but this shit slaps. Hard.
