I’ve got to say I haven’t been this on edge for a finale since that final episode of Breaking Bad. Ritchie sidelines his penchant for visual flair and turns in a solid action film, in spite of Statham’s precision one man army role. There were moments when the combination of Ritchie’s restraint, darkly lit scenes and thumping score reminded me of Sicario. Not at all the b-grade action flick I was expecting.
