Now this is my kind of coming of age. There isn't any like it I've ever seen. A refreshment of nostalgia. An adolescent, pubescent slice of white suburban insecurity. It's difficult to put into words the insurmountable strangeness of the film. It's a straightforward script to be clear, but the effictiveness of its simplicity, the natural performances from each character, and malaise of daily life is captured beautifully.

I'm currently obsessing over The Thing. I think it's cracked my top 10 all timers. Had to get the Fathom event out of my mouth. Do yourself a favor, either catch it on 35 millimeter if ever the option presents itself, or watch the Blu-ray. Some films do not benefit from a 4k scan.
