MyMirrorLies!’s review published on Letterboxd:
A screenwriter's screenplay. Any aspiring writer need watch Adaptation. It hurts my brain to conceive of the machinations of Kaufman's brain and the way he concocted this script. He's written himself into the script, played brilliantly by Cage, about his time he was writing the screenplay for a book he thought unfilmable - which is a true story - and the creative anxiety he forces onto himself. It's perplexing that this was pulled off as good as this. We need Spike Jonze more than ever in these hard times. Come back Spike, work with Kaufman again, too.
