    About Time

No film makes me fall in love with life as much as
    About Time
    Incredibly warm and sincere
A cosy hug of a film
    Unbearably adorable
It makes me want to drop everything
And drive my non-existent daughter to school.
    About Time
    About Love
    About Life
    About it all.

    About Time
I’ll see you in twenty years
    And let you know
What my daughter thinks of you.

    Modern Pixar

    Modern Pixar
    Depresses me
    Especially after
    Watching Lightyear.

    Pixar used to be profound
    They made me cry
    They made me laugh
    They made me use
    My imagination
    Nowadays,
    Pixar makes the easy choice
    Pixar lost their unique voice.

    Lightyear did nothing
    Lightyear said nothing
    Lightyear revealed nothing
    And in doing so
    Revealed everything about Pixar
    And those daft donkeys
    At Disney.

“Write your speech next time, Kanye.”

This is a draft. A rough sketch. I see this review/ramble changing the more I sit with it. I wouldn’t be surprised if my thoughts changed drastically tomorrow.
    This is a lot.
Ye, formally known as Kanye West, remains my greatest influence as an artist, with everything I’ve done artistically in the last 4 years taking some form of inspiration, whether I choose to recognise it or not. This borderline obsession with Ye and…

    Obi-Wan Kenobi

    ★★

I struggle to find reasons as to why this exists.

As a character, Kenobi remains entirely the same after this show’s completion. You’d think 6 episodes devoted to a character would add some sort of depth, but instead we are force-fed a lot of ‘ooooo that’s that person from that film but way younger!’ and ‘that’s that person from that random animated show no one watches!’ moments.

Vader feels completely wasted. His presence is felt, but his role in the story…
