I thought I knew what to expect from this movie, but once again my sad, privileged white ass had no idea about so many things. It's not just "black Call Me By Your Name", because rich kids of white American academics hanging out in their Italian villa know nothing about the hardships of living among the poverty, drug addiction and street violence of a ghetto in Florida.
That's why it's even more a mandatory watching for people like me.
Beautiful, powerful, small-but-great movie and I'm so glad it beat "Bla Bla Bland" to the Oscars.
