  Clint Eastwood was never able to capture the type of demeanor the Man With No Name had in Sergio Leone's 'Dollar Trilogy. While both Josey Wales and 'Blondie' (the Man With No Name) are asses, the former is a 'badass' while the latter is a 'hardass'. Josey Wales (and the other gunslingers Eastwood played after the Dollars trilogy) never possessed any redeeming qualities that the Man With No Name had.
