Only Oscar Isaac would wear JEANS during a drug raid. I thought the denim was weighing him down as he was chasing an escapee in the first scene, but little did I know that he wanted to be weighed down! Not as good as his Poe Dameron jackets.

Waitress 2007

I first watched Waitress when I was 15 and found it touching, sweet, and brilliant. 11 years later and finally rewatching it caused instant tears as I’ve not only got older and experienced life more, I’ve also seen and fallen heads over heels in love with the musical which is the perfect type of adaptation: just as brilliant without harming how great the original is.
Waitress has so many levels of sadness to it. The story is sad. Every time…

Let’s be real honest here, on a rewatch I’ll be giving this 5*. Even with the hype, Hustlers delivered.
Not an ounce of the Male gaze, J-Lo at her best, another amazing performance by Queen Constance Wu, banging soundtrack, filmed expertly with a fuckin delightful screenplay.
