pheeew this is an excellent spy-thriller if ever i’ve seen one. where the first one focuses more on steve personally he’s more of a figurehead for SHIELD and it’s internal conspiracies here. fast-paced action with great combat sequences, though i was very bothered with the editing in the first couple of those because it’s so disorienting. got used to it (again) and fully gave myself over to the Russo Brothers’ atmospheric paranoia. this is woven so well into the CapAmerica lore and picks up successfully on loose strands of the previous one while nonetheless providing a entirely new postmodern context. all still grounded with steve’s heroism and emotionally even more so through that fine Bucky storyline. till the end of the line pal!
