Deadpool 2 2018
This entire film should just have been Keeping up with the X-men cuz Colossus, TNW and Yukio are the CUTEST

The Ring Thing 2017
Here’s the thing — despite the mess the movie makes of its high ambitions (esp narratively and that ending??), I liked and found myself constantly engaged in the story. All credit to the actors’ realistic and relatable portrayal of a modern day lesbian couple, and the intention of the movie to explore topics (some lgbt-specifc) that are, in my opinion, interesting, topical, and well-worth exploring. (How I hoped this movie actually answered some of them)
I simply don’t think there are enough indie LGBTQ movies that try this. So here’s to that. -
Disobedience 2017
Perhaps if the movie better justified the weight of its title, disobedience, the romance and character progression would be better materialized. Despite solid performances from the central trio, and an impressive level of tension throughout, I feel that the tension and conflict at the centre of this movie becomes pretty monotone pretty soon.

Battle Royale 2000
I appreciate the score, the head-on, almost comical violence, and the fact that we are thrown into chaos immediately. But (perhaps due to parts of the script and performances) I found it too cheesy to take seriously and be convincingly affected.

Avengers: Age of Ultron 2015
Banner and Romanoff is the fanfiction that nobody asked for BUT ALSO nobody wanted
can’t believe they have to clean this mess up in Endgame

The Greatest Showman 2017
This felt like a very systematic Hollywood musical production, with the plot and music all generic. Not to mention the plot is sugarcoating the actual events. The musical cast are professional though, and Zendaya <3
