Swiss Army Man 2016
Swiss Army Man. 2016. Daniel Scheinert, Daniel Kwan. (Daniels). 🎭🇨🇭🕺🏼💨
Swiss Army Man defies conventional wisdom with its unorthodox take on an adventure/drama/fantasy genre splish splash. The Daniels are the perfect directors to take a farting corpse who masterbates and turn the tables from low brow to high brow with regard to narrative development. Somehow the pranks and creative sets were not tedious. It was a perfect method to get the audience invested in the characters. When Hank (Paul Dano)…

Citizen Kane 1941
My mom was watching Snakes on a Plane in the next room which I thought was a funny contrast.

Top Gun 1986
Absolute energetic and very SWEATY. Top Gun is straight to its core a masculine, motorcycle riding, bombastic music, and again so sweaty movie that is honestly laughable in its stereotypes and just overall cheesiness.
The enjoyability factor in this movie came mainly in its cheesiness value because apart from that, it’s a pretty much boring story. It’s an underdog story, a mediocre one that is but the way it was presented, was so 80s that it garners lots of entertainment…

Elvis 2022
Well done, Austin Butler 👏👏
first off all can we give a big well done to Austin butler for I think the most perfect portrayal of the king of rock and roll legend, I feel like no one could have done more of a better job. First off all I’ll start with my few negative points which was one, the choice of using modern music in some scenes as it took you away almost from the era and the movie…

The Sound of Music 1965
I watched this, because the school was performing it as the musical. Literally 30 minutes after I saw the film, I saw the school musical.

Nitram 2021
It would have been easy to sensationalise the events leading up to the terrible tragedy at Port Arthur, Tasmania in 1996. Director Justin Kurzel manages to hold the narrative down though, focusing on the troubled life of a disturbed mind as it descended to pure evil.
Had this not been based on a true story, I'm sure I'd be thinking "that would never happen", and as our mentally challenged, unlicensed and clearly troubled young man walks into a store and…

Taste of Fear 1961
A thoroughly enjoyable psychological thriller with suspense. I was initially fooled by the deceptively simple nature of the story, but later I was pleasantly surprised by the twists and turns it took. Also, it's just 80 minutes long.
