"A film is - or should be - more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what's behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later." - Stanley Kubrick
I never know exactly what to say about this movie. Sometimes I think that everything that can be said about it has been said. But I'm starting to think that's not true. That's what's magical about this movie: there's always something to discuss, something to analyze.
Hats off to Kubrick and Clarke for creating "the proverbial 'really good' science-fiction movie." Here's to 50 more years of cultural shock and social disorientation.
