The Power of the Dog 2021
A nuanced, very slow burn western with complicated characters and great writing. Jane Campion really outdid herself by delivering a technically flawless film that serves as an exploration of masculinity.

Last Night in Soho 2021
Edgar Wright's Last Night In Soho is such an experience, an immersive trip to the sixties through our main character's visions. A tale about nostalgia and about living in the memories of the past. It's masterfully executed, every technical aspect is perfect from the mind-blowing cinematography and its use of vibrant colors to represent the past to the music that completely immerses the viewer in that era.
The story, on the other hand, didn't feel complex, most of the twists… -
No Time to Die 2021
An emotional conclusion to a beloved franchise. This chapter focuses on Doctor Swann's past and her relationship with Bond with an emphasis on his human and fragile side while also focusing on the action genre aspect. Well written and connected to the former movies of the franchise, beautifully shot, good action sequences, and filled with sentimental moments. Highly entertaining, Rami Malek is good as a villain although he seems a bit underused, and Daniel Graig is amazing as usual.

Petite Maman 2021
A heartwarming story about the relationship between a mother and her daughter and the exploration of grief and motherhood through the perspective of a little girl. Very simple in its construction but very moving and endearing in its take on coming of age.

Pig 2021
Pig is a very deep and melancholic movie about a man going through an existential crisis showcased through the quest for his stolen pig. The movie is very subtle and the pacing is kinda slow, we barely get any pieces of information about the character which makes the audience longing for more. It moves from the revenge genre and focuses more on the characters and their emotions. It's very well crafted, the editing is great and the performances are outstanding. It's a very immersive and emotional experience.

Kajillionaire 2020
Very weird and extremely depressing, I don't know why it was labeled as a comedy. Evan Rachel Wood is amazing and I'll be thinking about this one for a while.

The Big Short 2015
Interesting, well-executed but very complicated like I actually had to google every single word to understand what they were talking about.

A Quiet Place Part II 2020
A quiet place 2 > a quiet place
I hope that we'll have a third movie to explain the story behind the monsters and what happened to Cillian Murphy's family. -
